Although Hollywood star Will Smith has apologized for slapping Chris Rock at the Grammy, the fight has now moved to Nigeria.

Nigerians believe the incident which stole the highlight of the 2022 Grammy is revolutionary and something Nigerian comedians especially should lookout for.

With comedians always picking on guests at event centers and bars, some Nigerians believe Will Smith has finally shown them how to handle such issues.

Will Smith slapped Chris Rock who made a joke of his wife’s health condition and some Nigerians believe comedians in the country have done worst and deserve more than that slap.

“2018 one comedian for Owerri caused problems between me and my girl, she left the joint and never came back 😂😂😂, he said to me, my brother this is not the girl u came with last week 😂, that one is more beautiful than this one 😂😂😂”, a user wrote.

The issue of comedians making jokes with ladies is not something new in bars especially and problems that come after is not new as well.

They called on comedians know the difference between jokes and insults as has been seen in several cases.

In 2021, Comedian and Nollywood actor Egbeigwe Apama came under fire for his comments on the outfits worn by bridesmaids during a traditional wedding he anchored.
