A Magistrates’ Court sitting in Port Harcourt has remanded one Confidence Kirinee, who is alleged to be a notorious cultist to Port Harcourt Correctional Centre on six-count charge of conspiracy, cultism, kidnapping and murder.
According to charges Kirinee, who is known as Illa and others now at Port Harcourt Correctional facility, are alleged to have on March 5, 2019, conspired among themselves, kidnapped and killed one Muenalo Sunday, after collecting the sum of ten thousand naira from him.
Kirinee and his group, who allegedly belong to a secret cult in Zaakpor community in Khana Local Government Area of the state, are reported to be involved in criminal activities.
When the case was mentioned in court, Chief Magistrate, G.C Amadi did not allow the charge to be read but directed that the case file be transmitted to the Department of Public Prosecution for advice and that the suspect be remanded in Port Harcourt Correctional Center till March 21, 2022.
