As the wind of the Face of Igbo Heritage Legend Awards (FIHLA) is getting stronger, Chief Dr Chimezie Anosike Kingsley (Ebubemba Ikeduru) has joined the long list of prominent Igbos throwing their weight behind the event.

Ebubemba Ikeduru who received the Face of Igbo Heritage Legend International Foundation team in his country home on January 30, 2022 commended the group for putting up such event to promote Igbo Language and culture.

The Umueziogwu Uzoagba, Ikeduru LGA of Imo State born philanthropist who pledged to support the event also called on other well-meaning Igbo sons and daughters to do the same.

Chief Chimezie Anosike Kingsley said that Igbos have to be awake and more committed to the sustenance of their culture, adding that the best way to do it is to have those in good position to use it to bless others.

He said that one of the ways to encourage people to embrace Igbo Language and culture is by supporting the lowly placed people and making them see how profitable it can be to be ambassadors of Igbo culture and tradition.

He called on Igbo political leaders to be more committed in the cause, also saying that there is nothing wrong with letting children speak Igbo language in this modern day.

Ebubemba Ikeduru further condemned the rising intake of hard drugs and desire for quick wealth among youths, adding that it is not part of who Igbos are.

Speaking at the event, Mazi Uzochukwu Nkweatu, the founder Face of Igbo Heritage Legend International Foundation who are the organizers of FIHLA Awards, said that the visit was in line with the strategy of the organization in ensuring that people across Igbo land are aware of what they are doing.

He appreciated Chief Chimezie for his philanthropic works as well as the promotion of Igbo language and culture, adding that people like him are needed in every community to ensure rapid growth.

Mazi Nkweatu said that the call for the sustenance of Igbo language and culture is for everyone and through the Face of Igbo Heritage Legend Awards, the group will celebrate and encourage Igbo sons and daughters who have made tremendous achievements in all works of life.
