Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has condemned the Benue incident concerning him.

About 2,420 hectares of farm at Howe in the Aliade area of Gwer East Local Government was set abaze at the weekend.

Obasanjo reacted on Tuesday via a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi.

The former Head of State said the Benue government, the LGA and security agencies have taken up the issue.

The statement said the retired General looked forward to the perpetrators’ arrest and prosecution.

“The former President thanked those who had called him to identify with him on the incident”, Akinyemi added.
