The Catholic Bishop of Ekiti Diocese, Most Rev. Felix Ajakaye has said Nigerians are tired of weak and mediocre presidents.

Bishop Ajakaye made the remark while urging Nigerians to elect a competent and healthy president in 2023.

He said Nigerians should vote for leaders who will transform the country in 2023.

Ajakaye spoke at a lecture titled “Ekiti Politics And The Search for Great Leadership” to mark the 2021 Annual Lecture/Award presentation of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Ekiti State Council, in Ado Ekiti.

The cleric stated that the agitations for zoning might not be out of place, stressing that competence, health and intellect of candidates must be considered.

“We are tired of a weak president. We shouldn’t allow mediocre to be leading us and if we allow that, then we are in serious trouble,” he said.
