SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando has left his position as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Imo State having been redeployed to Ondo State Police Command.
He will be replaced by SP Bala Elkana who has previously served Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Niger, Akwa Ibom and Lagos State Police Commands.
In a passionate statement, SP Ikeokwu thanked everyone who worked with him, adding that he is sure the office is in good hands.
“I therefore want to thank you all for this rear opportunity of working with you, working with you all have not only been a good experience but also a very rewarding one too, no doubt, I have grown to be a better person through my period in this office. My consolation is that I am leaving you all in safe hands because I know that the new PPRO is such a wonderful person and will do much better.
I hereby urge you to extend all cooperation and support to the new Public Relations Officer (PPRO), please.” He wrote.
SP Bala Elkana who is now the Imo Police PPRO, was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 2003. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB), master degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution (MSC), Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) among other academic qualifications.
He attended several courses among which are Leadership Training, Detective Course, Community Policing, Trainee Course, Combat Operation Course, Emergency Management Course, Police Relations Course. He is a member of the National Institute of Public Relations and also a member of International Association of Chiefs of Police, A Fellow and ICON of Corporate Institute of Administration.
SP Bala Elkana has received so many awards among which are: – Best PRO in Nigeria 2020, Best PRO in Africa and Best PRO in Central and West Africa by Security Watch Africa.
