German-based Nigerian musician Daniel Ikoku aka Don D (Eze Ekunie) has revealed that contrary to recent opinions, he is still open to any form of music genre that is possible.

The singer cum cinematographer told www.otowngist.com that he is open to doing anything possible in the name of music, adding that be it gospel, afro-pop, highlife, or any other genre, he is always open to doing it.

“I am a musician, so if I can sing it, I’ll do it”, he said, adding that Highlife music is favoured in Europe and that is why he is infusing more of the flare in his music.

“I love pure African sounds and you can get that in highlife and other folk sounds. These songs offer us home away from home and that is what I am mostly known for here in Europe”

“I started music with gospel music; I’ve tried to rap; I’ve done dancehall and every possible Afrocentric genre you can think of. To me it is about expressing myself, do what people will love, and fulfilling my dreams”
