The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has hailed Governor of Ondo State, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu on his emergence as All Progressives Congress (APC) Standard Bearer for Ondo State 2020 Guber election.

Prince Madumere’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser, Uche Onwuchekwa.

Madumere stated that Akeredolu’s entrant into politics is to make a difference, hailing him for his appreciable effort in the development of the State.

He added that Akeredolu’s victory has not only proven his acceptance and popularity by the people but his performance as the Governor of Ondo State.

The Imo former deputy governor in the statement hailed Ondo State APC faithful for coming out en mass to give the governor a massive support leading to his landslide victory.

He also commended candidates who stepped down in solidarity to pave way for Akeredolu. He equally salutes the courage of other aspirants who contested in the primary, describing their participation and the beauty of democracy, charging all to rally round the governor for the task of winning the forthcoming October 10, 2020 governorship election.

“Akeredolu’s victory is well deserving and a function of his contributions to the development of the state. I am not surprised by his performance because it is expected by his people the moment he decided to join the intrinsic vocation of politics.

“Prince Madumere sincerely commends all the aspirants who participated in the exercise, including those who patriotically stepped down, Jimi Odimayo, Segun Abraham and Ifeoluwa Oyedele. That is the beauty of democracy.

“It is heartwarming that everyone accepted the outcome in the spirit of sportsmanship. It will be much grand working together to ensure victory for Gov. Akeredolu in the forthcoming Ondo governorship election.”
