Hon. Tony Nwulu has called on Gov. Hope Uzodinma to make substantial investment in youth empowerment in Imo State.

Hon. Nwulu who is the UPP gubernatorial candidate at the 2019 general elections in Imo State, noted that Imo State has a lots of youths with potentials, added that should the governor invest in youth empowerment, it will make them divert their energies into more productive ventures rather than staying online to fight.

“None of the past leaders deliberately set out a plan to empower Imo you. Imo has the highest number of wanna be journalist and those are potentials that could be harnessed”

While Hon. revealed that he is not a fan of the antics of Ambrose Nwaogwugwu who was recently arrested by DSS on the allegation of forgery, libel and impersonation, he urged the government to save more Imo youths that will be the next victim by empowering them.

The prolonged detention of Ambrose Nwaogwugwu who is the New Media of Imo State PDP, has had the state divided with many calling for his immediate release while others see it as the right thing, owing to the way he writes on social media.

Hon. Nwulu reminded Governor Uzodinma that the infrastructural sector is not the most damaged in the state, but the youths who have been consistently failed by past leaders of the state.
