A Port Harcourt based designer, Rosie Young has taken to social media to allege that the DPO of Rumuolumeni Police Station, has connived with a yet to be identified lady in what she described as police impunity, to rip her off her N76,000 and also make her fix the side mirror of a car she didn’t damage.

Rosie Young who spoke to www.otowngist.com said that the only thing she did was tell the lady to move her car which was blocking the road because she was not allowed to park in her compound because of an ongoing meeting of landlords in the area.

She also said that she wasn’t the only one telling the lady to move her car but was surprised when the lady put a call through to the DPO, police officers arrived the scene and the lady told them she (Rosie) broke into her car and made away with N76,000 while also breaking the side mirror of her car.

According to Rosie Young even when the entire people there favoured her side of the story, the police officers insisted on taking her to the station that night, and with her lawyer around, she was forced to sign an undertaking that she will repair the side mirror and she also paid N20,000 to the police for her bail that night.

with the story already going viral on social media, www.otowngist.com contacted the DPO of Rumuolumeni Police Station, CSP Emmanuel Wagbara who admitted the incident actually took place, but added that what is trending on social media is a move to damage the reputation of the police.

CSP Emmanuel Wagbara said the complainant was not granted access to her own house and so her car had to be on the road which is where she could park, while Rosie Young drove behind and accused her of blocking the road.

“she stepped down and damaged the side mirror of the car and attempted to struggle the key out of her hand for her to remove the motor by her” CSP Emmanuel Wagbara said on a phone call with our reporter.

While Rosie Young is saying that she did not break any side mirror, adding that people who know the woman said the side mirror had already been broken before the incident, the DPO said the pieces of the glass were evident on the scene and his men have evidence for that, also adding that Rosie’s lawyer agreed to fix it before she was released.

CSP Emmanuel Wagbara also added that the Police is still investigating the matter as he is wondering how two people will be fighting and one will be stealing money at the same time.

Rosie Young also revealed that while she was in detention, the Lady who is yet to be identified was in the DPO’s office, adding that the lady is using her personal relationship with the DPO to intimidate and extort money from her.
