With the emergence of Gov. Hope Uzodinma after supreme court ruling, entertainers in Imo State are calling for the return of Hon. Chukwunonye Irouno as Special Assistant on Entertainment to the Governor.
Hon. Irouno who served in the office during the second tenure of former governor Rochas Anayo Okorocha, was also appointment the Chairman of Imo Entertainment and Carnival Commissions by the ex-governor.
Having been out of the office for more than eight months, and with most entertainers saying they did not like the way ousted Hon. Emeka Ihedioha handled the sector, they are looking forward to the reappointment of Hon. Chukwunonye Irouno, whom many believe raised the bar of the office during his time.
“Irouno is a leader everyone looks up to, he really changed so many things here and in his time, entertainers were never far from the governor. It is a good reason for us to want him back”, singer Tuclean said while talking to www.otowngist.com.
Already, a section of entertainers have already taken to social media to congratulate the eloquent compere who also anchored the inauguration ceremony of Gov. Hope Uzodinma.
Another entertainer who favoured the return of Hon. Chukwunonye Irouno said; “If he returns, we might see the furnishing of the entertainment house which the former governor ignored despite having three aides on entertainment. It is right to say that three people under Ihedioha could not fit into the big shoe Irouno left behind”
