Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State, Chief Hope Uzodinma has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies to investigate allegations of electoral fraud leveled against the state governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha.

He also hailed President Muhammadu Buhari over his victory, saying members of the party should see the President’s success as a reason to remain committed to the APC.

Uzodinma, who said this in an exclusive chat with Vanguard yesterday, commended the people of Imo State for contributing to Buhari’s success at the polls, saying much should be done to ensure the state remained an APC state.

His words: “Voters in Imo State deserve commendation for voting for President Muhammadu Buhari who has shown love to us. The President deserves the victory and I congratulate him for that. I consider his victory an opportunity for Imo people to do more so that we will remain in the mainstream.

“The allegations against the incumbent governor, Rochas Okorocha should be taken seriously in the interest of democracy and Imo State.  INEC and security agencies should carry out a proper investigation into all the allegations against Okorocha. They shouldn’t be swept under the carpet because our party does not condone such illegalities he was accused of perpetrating.”
