Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama has expressed shock over the death of Abdullahi Wase, Nigeria’s ambassador in Qatar.

Onyeama in a statement by the Ministry’s spokesperson, Dr Tope Elias-Fatile on Saturday in Abuja prayed that God grant Wase’s family and the nation the fortitude to bear the great loss.

”The Ambassador of Nigeria in Doha, Qatar, Amb. Abdullahi Bawa Wase died on September 14th.

”A non-career Ambassador, from Plateau State, he has been sick for a while until his death.

”The late Ambassador would be buried in Doha at 7.00pm local time on Saturday, Oct. 15.,” he said.

The ambassador was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2016
