Music producer Regiz may have been caught up in the ‘open letter’ fever in Nigerian to write his own on Facebook.
The post which was directed to a certain group of bloggers whom he could not mention was posted via his Facebook account, Regiz Ogb Akagha on January 9, 2014 reads “I don’t blame u, u guys came when ways has already been cleared in o’town, as of 5 years ago we knew only DJs and radio stations yet we still survived, u just came n saw everything on a platter of gold. If you like blog my song, if you no like for ur pocket, I don’t f**king care @Regizbeatz”
Although the he did not mention any name, the letter came the same day a certain open letter to otown artistes on www.2shymusic.com started a row which finally saw it being replied by two other bloggers in Imo State.
If the statement is meant for the bloggers, it would be a bold step for the producer cum singer to start of the year.
Regiz started and ended 2013 on a very calm note after being trailed by a name faceoff between him and fellow producer and artiste LMG in late 2014.
Last year, he ventured into blogging as well which did not work out well. Maybe when the so called bloggers will sanction songs bearing his name, he will resurrect the blogging skills he had already dropped.
Comments by his friends asked him whom the post was meant for, but so far he has not said anything.
Let us hope 2014 will not be started on such a ruff not for a state that spent 2013 working on its unity.
