Ahead of the November 19, 2015 burial of Late Ezinna Bartholomew Njoku, the father of frontline Imo State born youth activist, Comr. Ifeanyi-Cy Njoku, former Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim and other well-meaning Imolites have commiserated with the family.

Chief Ikedi Ohakim in a letter to the family described Late Ezinna Bartholomew Njoku as a devoted Christian who lived his life in service to God, his community and humanity.

The former Imo State governor and 2015 Guber aspirant under Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] added that Ifeanyi-Cy Njoku’s father was a role model who brought up his children in the fear and knowledge of God and further described his death as a call to greater service and a loss to Ehime Mbano and Imo State in general.

Another Imo State PDP stalwart and 2015 gubernatorial candidate, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha said: “I know how painful it is to lose a dear father and particularly when his support is mostly needed. As Christians, we celebrate the life and times of those who dedicated their energy in the service of God and humanity, for which I am confident your father is qualified”

He then urged the family to take solace in the abundant love of God and also pray for the repose of their father’s soul.

A onetime Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly and now the member representing Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah described Late Ezinna Bartholomew Njoku as a good man who lived to serve mankind.

“Though he is dead, his accomplishments and contributions to the development, peace and unity of his community, Amazi Umunakanu Owerre remains a legacy that will outlive many generations and engrave him in our minds.

“My thoughts are with you and your family members, I enjoin you to bear the loss with fortitude as no amount of grieving can bring him back to us”, the lawmaker said.

Hon. Onwubuariri Obinna Kingsley and Hon. Henry Nwawuba, both members of the Federal House of Representatives amongst others also commiserated with the bereaved family urging them to be strong with faith in God.

The burial of Late Ezinna Bartholomew Njoku will be taking place on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Njoku’s Family Compound, Amazi Owerre, Umunakanu Owerre, Ehime Mbano LGA, Imo State after a Funeral Service at St Theresa’s Catholic Church, Umunakanu Owerre, Ehime Mbano LGA by 10am.
