Chelsea Unveils King Promise’s ‘Can’t Tame Us’ Video Celebrating African Blues Fans

Chelsea have unveiled the music video for “Can’t Tame Us (Chelsea Anthem)”, a new track by Ghanaian singer King Promise created to celebrate the club’s supporters and African culture.
The Premier League club released the video on its official channels, describing the song as a celebration of Blues fans across Africa. Chelsea confirmed that the track will feature at fixtures throughout the 2026/27 season.
The collaboration was developed as part of Chelsea’s wider engagement with its African fan base. The song was officially released in September, while the accompanying video was filmed in Ghana and incorporates football and community elements from King Promise’s hometown.
The video was filmed at the Rent Paid Football Exhibition Tournament and Nungua SDA Park in Accra. The tournament brought together Chelsea supporter groups from across Ghana and also featured the African launch of the club’s 2026/27 home kit.
King Promise said returning to Nungua SDA Park was important because it was where he grew up playing football and developing his connection with the sport. His support for Chelsea also dates back to watching Ghanaian football star Michael Essien play for the London club.
Chelsea brand director Scott Fenton said the partnership was a natural fit because of King Promise’s long-standing connection with the club. He said the project was intended to celebrate Chelsea supporters in Africa and highlight the culture surrounding the club beyond matchdays.
The collaboration extends beyond the song and music video, with a documentary also forming part of the wider project. Chelsea said “Can’t Tame Us” made its matchday debut and will feature at fixtures during the season.
For King Promise, the project brings together his music career, childhood connection to football and long-standing support for Chelsea. The Ghanaian artist previously confirmed the track’s connection to the club’s 2026/27 campaign before its release.
