Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has offered his account of the bitter dispute with fellow rapper Odumodublvck, saying the conflict began after both artists became involved with the same woman.
Speaking during an interview with Rufai Oseni on the Nevon HQ podcast, Blaqbonez said he had been close to the woman for about a year in a non-exclusive relationship before they eventually decided to part ways.
Blaqbonez said the woman later told him that their relationship was no longer progressing in the direction she wanted. He claimed he accepted the decision and tried to establish boundaries after they ended their relationship.
The rapper said he was unaware that the woman had a relationship with Odumodublvck at the time. He explained that he eventually contacted his fellow rapper to find out whether there was an issue between them.
According to Blaqbonez, Odumodublvck told him he had nothing to discuss and allegedly instructed him not to greet him whenever they met. Blaqbonez said the situation subsequently escalated, with accusations of harassment and attacks becoming part of the dispute.
Blaqbonez also addressed allegations of sexual abuse linked to the feud. He said he considers such accusations serious and has chosen to pursue the matter legally rather than treat them as social media banter.
The rapper said his lawyers have taken legal action and are seeking ₦2.55 billion in damages over the allegations. He challenged Odumodublvck to substantiate the claims in court, while maintaining that the dispute has gone far beyond a personal disagreement.
