The long-running dispute between the Okoye brothers has taken another turn after former P-Square manager Jude Okoye rejected allegations that he diverted over $1.2 million in music royalties belonging to his younger brother, Peter Okoye.
In a video released on Sunday, the music executive insisted that every royalty payment and financial distribution made during his time as manager followed existing agreements and was properly documented. He maintained that the accusations against him are false and should be resolved through the courts rather than on social media.
Jude explained that the allegations had already attracted the attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and that the matter is now before a competent court. He said the legal process should be allowed to determine the facts.
Responding to claims that Peter was removed as a signatory to company bank accounts and denied access to royalty records, Jude described the allegations as untrue. According to him, there was no attempt to block Peter from financial information or company accounts.
He further disclosed that bank documents, financial records and digital evidence have already been presented before the court as part of the ongoing proceedings. He expressed confidence that the available evidence would clarify the issues raised in the case.
Jude also appealed to members of the public to disregard opinions and speculation circulating across social media, saying public commentary should not replace the judicial process. He stressed that he would refrain from litigating the matter in the media while the case remains before the court.
The latest exchange adds to the prolonged fallout between the Okoye brothers, whose disagreements over business operations, royalties and financial management have kept the former P-Square partners in the public spotlight for years. With the case now before the courts, attention is expected to remain on the legal proceedings as fans await a resolution.
