Members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Imo State chapter, have expressed condolences to one of their members, Comrade Kenneth Ajuzie (popularly known as Bokline), following the burial of his mother, Mrs. Comfort Ajuzie (née Nwagbaraocha).
Mrs. Ajuzie was laid to rest on April 17, 2026, in Umuagwada, Umuaro Village, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, at the age of 70.
Born in Umuchudo, Umuodu Village in Owerri Municipal, Imo State, the deceased was married to Mr. Ufomba Ajuzie. She was widely described as a devoted healthcare professional who spent many years serving in Baltimore, Maryland, in the United States, where she was known for her commitment to patient care and community service.
The funeral ceremony attracted family members, friends, colleagues, and community leaders from within and outside Nigeria, reflecting the respect she commanded in life and across her professional and social circles.
Members of Imo SWAN attended the burial in solidarity with their colleague, offering support and prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul while also comforting the bereaved family.
They described the late Mrs. Ajuzie as a hardworking and selfless woman whose legacy of service and compassion would be remembered by those she impacted during her lifetime.
In a statement signed by Ahize Nnamdi Anthony, the association extended its heartfelt condolences to Comrade Kenneth Ajuzie and prayed for strength for the family to bear the loss.
