Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke has directed Nigerian Air Force personnel to intensify inter-agency collaboration, maintain high morale and uphold strict discipline, declaring that vigilance and professionalism remain decisive to operational success.

The Chief of the Air Staff issued the charge on 19 February 2026 while inspecting operational platforms, maintenance facilities and mission support infrastructure at the 303 Composite Group of the Nigerian Air Force in Ilorin.

Airpower ‘A Decisive Force Multiplier’

Speaking during the visit, Air Marshal Aneke emphasised that airpower provides speed, reach and precision — advantages he described as critical in modern security operations.

When strategically deployed, he said, air assets become a “decisive force multiplier” in counterterrorism efforts, strengthening Nigeria’s overall security architecture.

His remarks come amid sustained military operations targeting insurgency and criminal networks across various regions of the country.

According to him, serviceable platforms, actionable intelligence and mission-focused personnel are non-negotiable elements of success in ongoing operations.

Air Marshal Aneke further assured the unit of continued support from Air Force Headquarters in logistics, training and welfare — measures aimed at strengthening responsiveness and overall operational efficiency.

The inspection signals renewed emphasis on discipline, coordination and technological readiness within the Nigerian Air Force as security challenges persist nationwide.
