Owerri, Imo State – Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has convened a strategic meeting with key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state as preparations intensify for the nationwide Ward and Local Government Area (LGA) congresses.
Speaking at the Sam Mbakwe Executive Chambers, Government House, Owerri, Governor Uzodinma urged party members to remain focused, stressing that the outcome of the upcoming congresses would significantly shape the party’s future in Imo and nationally.
“The success of APC depends on unity, discipline, and the cooperation of all members. I encourage all stakeholders to work together, prioritize dialogue, and strengthen our structures to enhance our electoral prospects,” Uzodinma said.
The governor highlighted the importance of inclusive leadership, urging that all voices within the party be considered in decision-making. He added that the party’s strength lies in harmony and collective interest, calling on members to resolve disagreements peacefully.
“APC is a family bound by a shared vision for development. Sustaining victory in future elections will require discipline, collaboration, and dedication from every member,” he emphasized.
Uzodinma also acknowledged the efforts of grassroots mobilizers and party leaders in expanding APC’s outreach, affirming his administration’s commitment to development and security across Imo State.
Earlier, APC State Chairman MacDonald Ebere commended members for their dedication during the ongoing e-registration exercise and thanked the governor for creating an enabling environment for party activities. He encouraged members to sustain their zeal for a peaceful and productive congress.
Godwin Anawore, Chairman of the Committee for the Ward and LGA Congresses, described the exercise as critical to the party’s future. He praised Governor Uzodinma for fostering unity within APC and emphasized that the congresses were vital for strengthening the party’s structure and electoral competitiveness.
The meeting underscores APC’s focus on consolidating its internal structures in Imo State ahead of critical elections nationwide, positioning the party for a more cohesive and strategic approach in upcoming political contests.
