Founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, has publicly addressed members of his church amid the growing controversy surrounding his alleged relationship with Nollywood actress Doris Ogala.
The cleric spoke during a marriage thanksgiving service on Sunday, days after Doris Ogala was arrested by the police on Saturday, December 20, 2025, following claims that Pastor Okafor failed to fulfil an alleged promise to marry her.
In a video from the service that has since gone viral on social media, Pastor Okafor declined to directly address the accusations, instead insisting that anyone making allegations must be prepared to prove them under the law.
“He that alleges must prove,” the pastor said, explaining that he was acting on what he described as divine instruction to remain silent while legal processes take their course.
Okafor acknowledged that being misrepresented can be painful, but maintained that responding publicly would amount to dignifying what he called “the devil,” adding that his faith and long-standing relationship with God remained unshaken despite the controversy.
He further told congregants that the matter is now before the authorities, stressing that he would not speak publicly in a way that could compromise ongoing investigations or court proceedings.
According to the pastor, those eventually revealed to be involved behind the scenes may come as a surprise, but he insisted that the truth would emerge through lawful and mature processes.
Doris Ogala’s arrest has continued to fuel intense debate online, with several celebrities and influencers weighing in. One prominent Nigerian influencer has openly demanded her release, while threatening to expose alleged criminal evidence involving Pastor Okafor and his associates.
