Popular TikTok content creator Peller has publicly apologised to Nigerians following his arrest by the Lagos State Police Command over a dangerous driving incident and an alleged suicide attempt.
In a video widely circulated on social media, Peller expressed deep remorse, saying: “I am sorry, Nigerians. Please, I’m sorry. I will never do that again. I’m very sorry, please. For now, I am on medication. Once I am done with my medication, I will be online.”
The incident reportedly stems from personal issues, including Peller’s recent breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis, who cited his struggles with emotional control as a key factor in their separation.
Authorities confirmed that Peller was arrested on Sunday, December 14, 2025, after he was allegedly seen driving recklessly while livestreaming on social media. The dangerous manoeuvres reportedly led to a serious accident on the Lekki–Epe Expressway in Lagos, endangering both himself and other road users.
The Lagos State Police Command has handed the matter over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation, stating that Peller will be arraigned in court once the probe is concluded.
Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh used the incident to issue a stern warning to social media influencers and digital content creators, emphasising that reckless behaviour online that endangers lives will attract strict consequences.
Peller’s apology has sparked widespread reactions across social media, with many expressing concern for his wellbeing and calling for responsible conduct among digital content creators in Nigeria.
