Regina Daniels Reveals Health Challenges as She Celebrates 25th Birthday in Wheelchair

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about months of severe pain and mobility challenges, revealing that her condition has left her relying on a wheelchair. The actress shared the experience while celebrating her 25th birthday and explaining her recent absence from social media.

Daniels disclosed her health struggles in a video posted on Instagram on Saturday. She said the condition began as a minor issue but gradually worsened, affecting her ability to move freely and sometimes leaving her unable to walk.

“I know many of you may be surprised seeing me in a wheelchair. Well, welcome to another chapter of my life. Let me walk you through what my life has been since many of you have asked questions about my absence,” she said.

The actress explained that she had lost the freedom to move around as she pleased for several months. According to her, the condition took a more difficult turn after the children’s carnival she hosted, with the pain eventually becoming severe.

“For several months now, I have lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this,” Daniels said.

She added that the pain became excruciating and her ability to walk varied from time to time. “Sometimes I can walk, and sometimes I can’t move. I cried,” she said, describing the emotional strain of the experience.

Despite the difficulties, Daniels expressed gratitude for the progress she said she had made in her recovery. She noted that her faith in God had helped her through the period and said she remained hopeful about healing and finding peace. She also spoke about the challenge of depending on other people for assistance with everyday activities.

Explaining why she chose to share the experience with her fans, Daniels said recent developments in her recovery had encouraged her to speak publicly. “Well, me sitting here today, in front of this camera, sharing this with y’all, it’s because there’s been some really significant developments in my recovery. And I say, thank you, Lord,” she said.

The actress also spoke about moving closer to her loved ones, particularly her children, whom she described as being close to her heart. However, she did not disclose a specific medical diagnosis in the account of her health challenges.
