Ayra Starr Performs ‘Rush’, ‘Hot Body’ at NFL London Game Halftime Show

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr delivered a halftime performance at the NFL London Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, entertaining fans with some of her popular songs.

The Grammy-nominated artist performed at the event held at the Northumberland Development Project in London. Her set featured renditions of “Rush,” “Hot Body” and “Heaven Baby,” according to reports.

Starr’s performance attracted attention online, with fans sharing video clips from the show. Although the performance was not broadcast on NFL Network, footage circulated through clips from the NFL+ app and other broadcasts.

For the occasion, the singer wore a purple corseted top paired with a black skirt. Her outfit and stage presence became talking points among fans who shared footage of the halftime show online.

The performance further placed the Nigerian singer in the spotlight at an international sporting event, where music performances form part of the entertainment surrounding the NFL’s London fixtures.

Starr has received two Grammy Award nominations, according to the report. Her first came in 2024 for “Rush” in the Best African Music Performance category, while her second followed in 2026 for “Gimme Dat,” her collaboration with Wizkid, in the same category.

The singer is among the Nigerian and African artists helping bring Afrobeats to wider international audiences. Other major names associated with the genre’s global growth include Burna Boy, Tems and Wizkid.
