Popular Nigerian content creators Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, widely known as Peller, and Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly called Jarvis, officially began their married life with a glamorous wedding ceremony in Lekki, Lagos, attracting celebrities, influencers and business leaders from across the country.
The colourful celebration, held on Saturday, became one of the most talked-about social events online, with the hashtags #JP2026 and #Jarpel2026 dominating conversations as videos and photos from the ceremony flooded social media.
Dressed in traditional Benin attire, the couple observed customary marriage rites before celebrating with family, friends and invited guests. Sharing photos from the event on Instagram, they wrote:
“Today, we become one. Two tribes, one love. Two families, one forever. A new chapter begins, and forever starts now.”
One of the biggest highlights of the wedding came when real estate entrepreneur King Mohamed Adah, popularly known as King Ochacho, announced the gift of a mansion reportedly worth ₦400 million in Abuja.
“On behalf of my children, I am presenting a brand new house for you worth ₦400 million in Abuja. Congratulations, Peller,” he told the newlyweds, drawing loud cheers from guests.
The generous gift fulfilled an earlier promise King Ochacho made to Peller during another celebrity wedding, where he pledged to support the content creator’s marriage plans.
The couple also received additional cash gifts during the reception. Socialite Cubana Chief Priest presented them with ₦10 million, while another guest, identified as Oga 9ja, handed over a ceremonial cheque worth ₦10 million, bringing the total value of publicly announced gifts to approximately ₦420 million.
Beyond the lavish gifts, the event featured several memorable moments. Nightlife personality Pretty Mike made his trademark theatrical entrance accompanied by about 20 people dressed as medical workers carrying intravenous drips. Explaining the performance on Instagram, he wrote:
“They said it’s a sick world out here, well as u can see, I walk around with my own team of medical practitioners.”
The wedding also attracted an impressive lineup of guests, including Nollywood stars Iyabo Ojo, Eniola Badmus, Moyo Lawal, Foluke Daramola, Jigan Baba Oja, musicians Juma Jux, Seun Kuti, Zinoleesky, Sule Alao Malaika, Berri Tiga, Silly Music, alongside content creators such as Cute Abiola, Papaya Ex, Purple Speedy, Nons Miraj, Isbae U, Kamo State, Geh Geh, Aunty Ramota, Jo Blaq and several others.
Another moment that generated online discussion involved Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti, who reportedly left the reception after the event’s master of ceremonies allegedly made a joke comparing contemporary music star Wizkid with his late father, Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. Although the viral video did not capture the alleged remark, Seun was heard saying, “We are in the wrong place,” as he exited the venue. He has yet to issue a formal statement on the incident.
The wedding marked the culmination of a relationship that unfolded publicly over several months. In June, Peller proposed to Jarvis during a private beach ceremony in Ghana before paying her bride price during a traditional introduction in Benin City. The couple later formalised their union at a Lagos court wedding on July 29 before hosting the grand celebration in Lekki.
Ahead of the ceremony, Peller also disclosed that he attended traditional pre-marital counselling and revealed plans for an eight-country honeymoon with his bride.
