Singer Brymo has accused fellow Nigerian music stars 2Face Idibia, Burna Boy and Davido of knowing about an alleged incident in which he says he was lured to Chevron and pressured to join a secret cult in 2019.
Brymo made the allegation during a recent appearance on the ‘Lahor Talk’ podcast, where he discussed his long-running dispute with the three artistes and rejected the suggestion that he was seeking an apology from Burna Boy.
The controversy follows comments by Burna Boy in a diss track, where he mocked Brymo’s career with the line, “Hustle make you no go fall off like Brymo.” Brymo responded in July 2026, saying he did not care about the fraternity Burna Boy belonged to and vowed to seek revenge.
During the podcast interview, Brymo linked his dispute with Burna Boy, Davido and 2Face to an alleged incident at Chevron in 2019. He claimed he was invited under the impression that he was going to be hosted, but was instead pressured to join a cult after what he described as an attack.
Brymo further alleged that the names of Burna Boy, Davido and 2Face were mentioned by the people who were allegedly pressuring him. He challenged the three musicians to publicly deny having any involvement in what he says happened to him.
“I don’t have forgiveness on Burna Boy, 2Face or Davido. I want them to tell me that they truly don’t know about wetin happened to me for Chevron or not,” Brymo said during the interview.
He added that 2026 marks seven years since the alleged incident and said he was not demanding an apology. Instead, Brymo said he wanted the three artistes to state clearly that they had nothing to do with the incident, warning that he would continue speaking about the matter until they responded.
The allegations have not been independently established, and the three musicians have not, in the material provided, publicly responded to Brymo’s latest claims. Brymo’s statements therefore remain allegations rather than established facts.
