Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has dismissed rumours that she has reconciled with her estranged husband, music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, describing the viral videos fueling the speculation as old footage.
The actress addressed the claims on Monday through a post shared on her Instagram Stories, where she criticised the spread of what she described as false information online.
“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” Annie wrote.
Speculation about a possible reunion began after an old video resurfaced on social media on Friday, July 17, showing Annie and 2Baba sharing a warm moment at a nightclub. The clip quickly went viral, prompting widespread claims that the former couple had rekindled their relationship.
However, Annie’s latest statement has clarified that the footage is not recent and should not be interpreted as evidence of a reconciliation.
The actress and the award-winning singer ended their marriage in January 2025, bringing to a close a relationship that lasted for more than a decade. During their marriage, the couple welcomed two daughters together.
Since their separation, 2Baba has moved on with his personal life and is now married to Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker representing Edo State.
With Annie’s public denial, the rumours of a reunion appear to have been laid to rest, reinforcing that the circulating video does not reflect the pair’s current relationship.
