Social media personality Emmanuel Jakpa, popularly known as Alavin, has withdrawn a viral video linked to the controversy involving businessman and influencer Uyi Godson Agho, widely known as Godson, urging the public to disregard its contents.
The development comes amid an ongoing dispute between Godson and social media influencer Clement Akpobome Ogudu, popularly known as IsokoBoy (ISB), over allegations that the businessman defrauded him of ₦100 million—a claim Godson has consistently denied.
In a video statement released on Sunday, Alavin disowned an earlier recording he made on June 28, 2026, saying it did not accurately represent the facts surrounding the matter.
“The content of the video is not true. I hereby make this video as a rejoinder and urge the general public to disregard the earlier video being posted online by one Mr. Richie,” he said.
Alavin further alleged that the continued circulation of the previous video by an individual identified as Richie was motivated by a personal disagreement with Godson rather than a genuine attempt to present the facts.
“Whatever Richie is posting and saying is out of jealousy and the issue he had previously with Godson,” he stated.
He also dismissed suggestions that he had been pressured into making the new statement, insisting that he acted of his own free will.
“I am not making this video under duress. We are all friends,” Alavin added.
The latest development follows a petition submitted by Godson to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, through his lawyer, C. C. Ezenwa, in which he rejected allegations of fraud and described the dispute as a business disagreement involving a clothing venture allegedly worth about ₦320 million.
Godson also alleged that IsokoBoy, Alavin and others confronted him at his residence, recorded him while he was unclothed and later circulated the footage online with claims that he had defrauded his business partner.
The controversy has continued to generate debate across social media, with both sides maintaining differing accounts of the events. As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official determination by law enforcement regarding the allegations.
