Arsenal are edging closer to a long-awaited Premier League crown, with Sunday’s clash against West Ham potentially setting the stage for their first English league title in 22 years.

The Gunners’ resurgence has shifted the momentum firmly in their favour after Manchester City stumbled in a 3-3 draw with Everton, a result that may prove costly in the title race.

Mikel Arteta’s side now sit five points clear of City, who still have a game in hand, with fixtures against West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace remaining. A win at the London Stadium could leave Arsenal on the brink of lifting the trophy.

Arsenal’s confidence has been boosted further by their Champions League success this week, where they edged Atletico Madrid 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium to book a final showdown with Paris Saint-Germain.

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has warned that West Ham could still pose a major challenge despite their poor historical record against the Gunners at home.

“I always thought that City might drop points against Everton and my worry was West Ham away,” Henry said. “So I’m going to stay in my lane and not celebrate too early because nothing is done.”

At the other end of the table, Tottenham Hotspur are battling to secure their Premier League survival after a turbulent campaign that has left them dangerously close to the relegation zone.

Spurs currently sit 17th, just one point above West Ham, but recent form has offered some relief. Roberto De Zerbi’s side have picked up seven points from their last three matches, including a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

Despite the improvement, De Zerbi has urged caution, insisting Spurs are not yet safe. The Italian coach took over in late March following Igor Tudor’s difficult spell in charge.

“We can’t forget what was the situation before Wolverhampton,” De Zerbi said. “These memories have to stay in our head every day.”

Tottenham face Leeds next, with further difficult fixtures against Chelsea and Everton still to come as they fight to avoid an unlikely relegation battle.

Leeds themselves could secure Premier League survival depending on results elsewhere, adding further tension to the weekend fixtures.

Elsewhere, Chelsea’s season continues to unravel, with the London club enduring a shocking run of form that has seen them lose six consecutive league matches.

Now ninth in the table, the Blues have scored just one goal in their last six Premier League outings and were beaten 3-1 by Nottingham Forest earlier in the week.

Their struggles have effectively ended hopes of Champions League qualification through the league, leaving the FA Cup final against Manchester City as their only chance of salvaging silverware.

Chelsea now face a tough trip to Liverpool, who are closing in on their own Champions League qualification target under Arne Slot.

As the Premier League season heads into its final stretch, Arsenal chase glory, Spurs fight for survival, and Chelsea attempt to restore pride in a campaign that has dramatically fallen apart.
