Fresh controversy around the relationship between businessman Olakunle Churchill and actress Rosy Meurer has taken a new turn, with Churchill firmly rejecting claims that the pair are heading for divorce.

In a strongly worded statement shared on Instagram, Churchill dismissed the reports as false, insisting there is no legal basis for any divorce narrative currently circulating online.

He clarified that their relationship never involved a legally recognised marriage, stressing that there was no church or court wedding—only an introduction ceremony. According to him, this makes any suggestion of divorce fundamentally flawed.

“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce… are completely false,” he said, adding that the absence of a formal marriage renders such claims baseless from the outset.

Churchill also cast doubt on documents allegedly linked to the reported separation, questioning their authenticity and pointing out that he was never formally served any legal notice. He argued that due process requires all parties to be properly notified before any proceedings can be considered legitimate.

Beyond the legal angle, he criticised individuals he believes are influencing the narrative, claiming that poor media and legal advice has contributed to the spread of misinformation surrounding the issue.

The businessman also addressed renewed attention on his past relationship with Tonto Dikeh, stating that their differences were personal and have since been resolved privately. He emphasised that co-parenting responsibilities should not be misinterpreted as interference in his current relationships.

On public perception, Churchill pushed back against claims that Meurer made extraordinary sacrifices during his previous controversies, describing such narratives as exaggerated. He maintained that personal relationship matters should have been handled privately without external pressure.

He further noted that relationships involving existing family dynamics require understanding, especially where children and past disputes are involved.

Churchill concluded by stating that he and Dikeh have moved on from past conflicts, adding that both parties have chosen forgiveness and personal growth.

The statement comes amid heightened speculation online following recent social media activity by Meurer, who has yet to publicly respond to Churchill’s remarks.
