Tension erupted at a hotel in Abuja after former Big Brother Naija winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor — popularly known as Phyna — was involved in a dramatic altercation over an alleged ₦200,000 dispute.
Eyewitnesses said the confrontation began inside Phyna’s hotel room in the early hours of Tuesday before spilling into the lobby, where the reality TV star was seen exchanging words with several individuals. The heated argument quickly drew the attention of hotel guests and staff.
According to reports, the quarrel stemmed from an unsettled financial disagreement involving ₦200,000. The situation reportedly escalated when neither side agreed to compromise, resulting in shouting, pushing, and general commotion within the premises.
Witnesses claimed that the altercation intensified when others connected to the matter joined in, turning the verbal exchange into a chaotic physical scene. Security personnel and police officers were called in to restore order, with teargas reportedly used to disperse the growing crowd.
The incident occurred just weeks after Phyna returned to public appearances following a period of mourning for her late sister, who tragically died in an accident involving a Dangote truck.
