Olofa Ina
Veteran Yoruba actor Deji Aderemi, known as Olofa Ina, passed away on January 4 at the age of 73 after battling cancer in Lagos.

Ethel Ekpe
Beloved actress Ethel Ekpe, famous for her role as ‘Segi’ on the NTA sitcom ‘Basi and Company’, died on February 7 after a long fight with cancer.


Sisi Quadri
Yoruba actor Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, known as Sisi Quadri, died on March 1 at the age of 44. His death was announced by his colleagues in the Yoruba film industry, with actress Abiola Bayo and actor Tunde Yusuf paying heartfelt tributes.

Mr. Ibu
Just a day after Sisi Quadri’s passing, comedic actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, died at 62. Renowned for his comedic prowess, his death plunged fans and colleagues into deep mourning.

Amaechi Muonagor
Veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor passed away on March 24 after a long battle with kidney disease. His death followed a public appeal for financial assistance to undergo a kidney transplant abroad.
