Foreign scouts are in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, to monitor the performance of Alhassan Yusuf at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

According to SCORENigeria, Premier League club, West Ham United and Bundesliga outfit, RB Leipzig have their scouts in Abidjan to assess the player.

Yusuf is expected to return to action in Nigeria’s Round of 16 clash with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon after missing the two previous games with a thigh injury.

The 23-year-old sustained the injury in Super Eagles’ opening game against Equatorial Guinea.

The midfielder returned to full team training on Wednesday.

He was included in Nigeria’s AFCON 2023 squad following injury to Wilfred Ndidi.
