Barcelona defender Jordi Alba has given his honest opinion on the possibility of Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi returning to the Blaugrana this summer.

The 35-year-old has been linked with a return to Barcelona, clubs in Saudi Arabia and the United States.

But Alba has now admitted that it would be difficult for Messi to return to Barca.

“I don’t know,” Alba was quoted as saying by The Athletic. “It would be good for us (if Messi returns), but it is difficult.”
