Manchester City head coach, Pep Guardiola, has revealed that Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Julia Roberts are his three idols in life.

Guardiola said this while admitting that he is a failure in the Champions League even if his team wins the Europe top-flight tournament this season or for three seasons in a row.

The Spaniard spoke at his post-match press conference after Manchester City’s Champions League round of 16 second-leg 7-0 win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday.

Guardiola said, “I’m a failure in the [UEFA] Champions League, so don’t worry. Listen, I’m going to explain a secret. Whatever happens this year in the Champions League.

“Even if we win this Champions League and three Champions Leagues in a row, I’ll be a failure.

“I have three idols in my life. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Julia Roberts. These are my three idols.”

He added, “Julia Roberts years ago came to Manchester – not in the 90s when Sir Alex was winning titles and titles and titles.

“And she went to visit Man United. She did not come to see us. That is why even if I win the Champions League, it will not compare to the fact that Julia Roberts came to Manchester and did not come to see us. Even if I win the Champions League, it will not compare to this disappointment I had.”
