Rivers United goalkeeper, Sochima Victor, is on cloud nine following his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles.
Sochima was named in the Super Eagles’ squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double header against Guinea-Bissau by head coach, Jose Peseiro on Thursday.
The former Kastina United shot stopper played a key role in Rivers United winning the 2022 Nigeria Premier Football League title.
Sochima has been in fantastic form for the Pride of Rivers both in the Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup this season.
“It’s just been God all through. I’m really thankful to everyone that has supported my career to achieve this great feat,” Sochima told DAILY POST.
The Super Eagles and Guinea Bissau will clash at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, at 5pm on Friday, March 24.
The reverse fixture will take place at the Estadio 24 de Setembro in Bissau on Monday, March 27.
