The Senate and House of Representatives had earlier sent the Bills to the House of Assembly for their approvals or rejections, so as to fast track the constitution amendment.

However, the Imo House of Assembly led by the new Speaker, Mr Emeka Nduka approved that the Judiciary, Local Government Areas, even the House of Assembly should remain under the control of the Executive.

Many political observers conclude that the present Imo Lawmakers are working for themselves and the Executive Governor, and not for the people who voted them into office.

Many had complained how the present Imo House of Assembly operates under the strings of the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, accused of manipulating the members as if they are  school children,  without their own plans for their constituents.

Within the last two years, the Imo House of Assembly had produced Four Speakers, and many had hoped that the latest Speaker, Maduka was coming to work for the masses, not knowing he came to work against the masses, pundits concluded.
