Rivers State Government has banned the use of premises, buildings and structures in residential areas in urban and non-urban areas as campaign offices by political parties.

The government said any political party that wishes to use structures in residential areas as campaign office must seek permission from the Rivers State Ministry of Planning and Urban Development.

The ban was contained in Executive Order 22 signed by Governor Nyesom Wike.
