A non-governmental organisation has tasked community leaders and stakeholders to demand social accountability and an improvement of health care services delivery in the Jere local government area of Borno State.

Follow The Money, (FTM) state Lead, Musa Gambo gave the charge at a town hall meeting with community leaders and relevant stakeholders in Dalaram, old Maiduguri, Jere LGA.

Gambo said the call is to draw the attention of duty bearers and advocates of government and relevant stakeholders to social accountability and the need to improve service delivery to the population.

“First of all, the meeting was held to educate and create awareness on what is expected of community leaders and relevant stakeholders in Jere LGA.

“Also, this is a ground provided by the organisation to increase awareness of the public and empower citizens to demand accountability and improved health care service delivery using evidence-based approaches,” Gambo said.
