The Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Osun State, Wasiu Ajadosu has charged journalists to prioritise their health.

Ajadosu who noted that health is wealth said the Union would always encourage its members to go for regular medical checkups.

He noted this while addressing members during a health walk in Osogbo, as part of activities to mark the 2022 Press Week.

While charging journalists to always engage in physical exercise to improve their health, Ajadosu commended the Chief Medical Director of Osogbo Central Hospital, Doctor Akindele Ajayi for sponsoring free medical checkups for newsmen in the state.

He also commended the CMD for providing free Ambulance service for journalists during the health walk.

The Union chairman said the gesture would go a long way in cementing the relationship between the Union and Osogbo Central hospital.

Members from the twelve chapels of the union as well as political functionaries and friends of the media participated in the walk.
