The pair were announced as recipients of the prestigious individual awards on the Premier League Twitter handle on Friday.

Ten Hag guided United to two important wins in September which came against Leicester City and Arsenal.

He helped the Red Devils end Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the league campaign thanks to a 3-1 win at Old Trafford.

With fixtures against Crystal Palace and Leeds United postponed due to the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, United only played twice in the league during the month – Leicester City on 1 September and Arsenal three days later.

But the Reds were still impressive in clinching a couple of wins, with Rashford proving key in both encounters.

In the away clash with the Foxes, Rashford kept his composure to slot a pass through to team-mate Jadon Sancho for the only goal of the game.

Rashford then played a part in all three strikes against Arsenal, as United saw off the league leaders to rise up to fifth in the table.

First, he set up a debut goal for new boy Antony, before scoring twice himself, at the Stretford End, to end the Gunners’ unbeaten run.
