APC South-East Zonal Executive Committee has met in Owerri, Imo State to prepare the region for the 2023 General Elections, 

Determined to deliver the South-East geo-political zone to APC, from Presidential to the State Assemblies, the South-East Zonal Chairman, Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, together with his Zonal Executive Members commenced a fact finding mission across the entire region to identify any factors that are likely to affect the chances of the party in the 2023 general elections.

A release by Chief Austin Onyedebelu, South East Zonal Publicity Secretary of APC says the Zonal chairman set his plan in motion, making Imo State his first stop on September 14, 2022.

The zonal executive at the State Secretariat met with the Imo State APC Chairman, Dr. McDonald Ebere, alongside other  State Executives and all the parry candidates  contesting at the 2023 general elections in Imo State.

Also in attendance were all Local Government Chairmen, Secretaries, Women Leaders and Youth Leaders, along with other  stakeholders.

 In his speech, Dr. Arodiogbu made it clear that he has only one mission which is to secure victory for the party in the 5 states of the South-East geo-political zone namely: Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Anambra.

After evaluating the robust quality of candidates lined up by Dr. McDonald, he expressed optimism for victory in the polls. In his excitement he came up with a new slogan for the party “APC” “IT IS MY TURN”. An affirmation for APC members will understand that it is their  turn to deliver the party in all elections.

He also scheduled a meeting with a few candidates who required further guidance to ensure they have sufficient capacity, adequate tenacity, and to smoothen any rough edges in preparation for the elections.

This came just one day after the the Governor General, Senator Hope Uzodimma, played host to the President, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, who was present to commission some crucial projects in Imo State.

After commissioning Orlu-Owerri road, Owerri-Okigwe road (Phase 1) and the reconstructed Imo State House of Assembly, the President congratulated the Governor for the number of quality projects he has been able to complete within just 3 years in office. 

He expressed happiness with the Governor’s infrastructural developments, and went further to urge Imolites to support Sen. Uzodinma to accomplish more in the best interest of the State.
