The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Gombe State Command, has decorated 50 newly promoted officers.

At the decoration ceremony, State Commandant, Waziri Goni, tasked the promoted officers to show more commitment to the corps.

Making the plea, Goni added that they should display a high level of professionalism while carrying out their lawful duties.

Our correspondent reports that the promoted Officers include: four Deputy Commandants of Corps; four Assistant Commandants of Corps; three Chief Superintendents of Corps; four Superintendents of Corps; 13 Deputy Superintendents of Corps; 14 Assistant Superintendents of Corps I; and 10 Assistant Superintendents of Corps II.

The decoration ceremony was witnessed by top civil servants, traditional rulers, title holders as well as relations, friends and well-wishers of the newly decorated officers.

The State Commandant lauded the Commandant General, Ahmed Audi, for the elevation of the decorated officers, urging them to display professionalism.

Goni said, “Congratulations on your new ranks and I want to advise you to rededicate yourselves to duty, respect human rights and uphold the rule of law. To whom much is given, more is expected.”

In his goodwill message, the second officer in charge of the Command, Deputy Commandant Of Corps DCC Imam Deji, admonished them to lead by example, and “show empathy to subordinates and family without compromising discipline and standard,” Deji added.

Deji also used the avenue to pray and wish those yet to write promotion examination success.

Also speaking, on behalf of the decorated Officers, Deputy Commandant of Corps, DCC Suleiman Baba, lauded the State Commandant for decorating them and promised their commitment and total loyalty to the Corps.
