Gov. Hope Uzodimma has again recorded another milestone acceptance which further confers legitimacy to his government by the good people of Mbaise nation as declared by the apex socio-political group, Ezeruze Mbaise during the former’s Iri Ji festival.
This declaration by Ezeruze Mbaise as said “Onwa, You are our Governor” has finally put to an end various conspiracy theories and has proven naysayers wrong that the Mbaise nation is against the government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma and will not support him. These conspiracies were formed by those sympathetic and beneficiaries of the legally aborted illegal administration of Emeka Ihedioha who hails from one of the local governments in Mbaise.
The obvious truth is that the Mbaise nation just like any people that are committed to the progress and development of the state has moved on and has accepted the fact that Gov. Hope Uzodimma can only be the helmsman of the state and the Mbaise nation is an integral part of the state under his administration as well as government.
A further expression of their resolve and sincerity in declaring Sen. Hope Uzodimma as their Governor was the conferment of a Chieftaincy title “ENYI OMA” (GOOD FRIEND OF THE PEOPLE) of the Mbaise nation on him.
And the prayer which reads “…everything can fail but Hope will Never fail” caps it all that even Mbaise nation cannot be used by anyone to cause the failure of Gov. Hope Uzodimma.
Gov. Hope Uzodimma on the other hand has lived up to the responsibilities of a leader who has remained undeterred in his quest for shared prosperity irrespective of the people or community involved. Hence, the recently flag off of the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road when completed will be of socio-economic importance to the people as well as attract development to the area.
Appointments of Mbaise Sons and Daughters by the Governor have further proven that he has long before now been a good friend of Mbaise nation and it would only be unfair to hate such a man.
Suffice to say that this year’s Iri Ji Festival and the Chieftaincy title given to Gov. Hope Uzodimma who is not from Mbaise has been the most collaborative and peaceful one of Mbaise nation and her traditional rulers and a clear pointer that he enjoys the support and goodwill of Mbaise nation.
Furthermore, the people of Mbaise Nation by their actions have made it clear again that there can only be one Governor at a time and at this time it is Sen. Hope Uzodimma.
