The kidnappers were said to have demanded N5 million ransom from his family for his release, but he was able to escape without ransom payment.

 Edo state publicity secretary of APC, Peter Uwadiae who confirmed the development said; 

“He escaped out of sheer bravery, he was able to manoeuvre his way out of their den. That is what I have gathered from the people in the community.

“Although I haven’t been able to speak with him directly, the latest news we got this morning is that he has escaped from the kidnapper’s den without any ransom.”
