A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Jos on Thursday sentenced a 22-year old mechanic, Dauda Yakubu to three months imprisonment for entering into the wildlife park.

The judge, Simi Drenkat, sentenced Yakubu after he pleaded guilty to the offence.

Drenkat, however, gave Yakubu an option to pay a fine of N10,000.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Mr Ayuba Kumbin told the court that the case was reported on Jan.19, at the Rantya Police station by Mr Dalyop Kwon a staff of Jos wildlife park.

The prosecutor said that the convict trespassed into the park.

The offence, he said, is punishable under the provisions of Section 333 of the Plateau penal code law.(NAN)
