Mixed reactions have trailed the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) decision to sack Augustine Eguavoen and the entire coaching crew of the Super Eagles.

NFF took the decision following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Recall that the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup after losing by away goal rule to Ghana in Abuja on Tuesday evening.

While some also asked the NFF to sack its President Amaju Pinnick immediately.

@pecheli0, “Too little too late… It’s sad that the NFF had to wait until the coaches caused so much pain to Nigerians before taking action. The handwriting was all over the place. The World Cup qualification playoff is NOT a time to experiment with players and formation. They got it all wrong.”

@Uzochi_O, “Get Pitso Mosimane as Head Coach. Kennedy Boboye as Assistant and Vincent Enyeama as goalkeeper trainer. Salisu Yusuf and Alloy Agu should never ever come anywhere near any of our national teams ever again. Eguavoen too.”

@jamesjobi, “Very good decision but it remains an apology to Gernot Rohr.”

@NNAMDIK42585916, “Is AMAJU PINNICK still the NFF president? If yes, we are going nowhere.”

@iam_wilsons, “Very good. Can Pinnick also join them?”
