A China Eastern Airlines, Boeing 737 passenger plane on Monday crashed in South China.

According to Chinese state media, the plane which crashed into a mountain and caught fire had 133 passengers on board.

A further report revealed that the plane suffered an unspecified accident before hurtling into the ground in a rural part of China’s southern Guangxi region.

As of the time of filing this report, the number of casualties is unknown, but there are moves to survive any survivor in the Mountainous region.

The Guangxi Emergency Management Department said in a statement: “A Boeing 737 passenger plane carrying 133 people from China Eastern Airlines crashed in Teng County, Wuzhou, Guangxi, and caused a mountain fire.

At present, rescue teams have assembled and approached, and the casualties are unknown.”
