Executive Chairman, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Francis Sani, on Wednesday, confirmed that five people were killed during an attack on communities in the Council Area.

Confirming the incident in a press statement, on Wednesday, he said the government would not relent until peace was restored and the perpetrators fished out.

DAILY POST recalls that eleven people were killed in an attack on Kurmin Masara community, on Sunday.


The bandits again returned on Monday, January 31, 2022, and killed five more people, just as they destroyed foodstuff and other valuables.

The Youth Leader of Atyap Chiefdom, Gabriel Joseph, had raised the alarm that the marauders had the agenda of wiping them out.

On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the Kaduna Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, during the presentation of
the 2021 annual security report and the first quarterly report of 2022, said the State lost 1,192 residents to bandits’ attacks.


He added 3,348 citizens were kidnapped, while 891 sustained various forms of injuries during the attacks.
